The Education Testing Council (ETC) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, has announced the registration schedule for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT). This test is mandatory for candidates intending to apply for prestigious scholarships, including the Commonwealth Scholarship, Chinese Government Scholarship, and various other HEC-funded scholarship schemes for MS, M.Phil, and Ph.D./Doctoral programs.
The HAT is conducted across five distinct categories tailored to different academic streams, ranging from Engineering and Computer Sciences to Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, and Religious Studies (for Madrasa graduates). A minimum qualifying score of 60 out of 100 is required, and the test results remain valid for a period of two years. Candidates must register online through the official ETC portal before the deadline.
