Description

Rockcastle County Schools is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Food Service team as Cooks and Bakers. These essential roles are responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals to students across various schools in the district, including Rockcastle County High School, Mount Vernon Elementary, Brodhead Elementary, and Roundstone Elementary.

As a member of the food service department, you will play a vital role in supporting student health, well-being, and academic success. We offer various shift options ranging from 6 to 7.5 hours per day, providing a stable and rewarding work schedule that aligns closely with the school calendar.

Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and bake meals according to standardized recipes and nutritional guidelines
Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
Assist with food setup, serving, and portion control during meal times
Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
